Angleton, TX, June 23, 2017– Rory the Warrior, Inc. announces their inaugural fundraising event, Rory’s Ride for Heroes on July 15, 2017. Born out of tragedy. Rory Sheffield drowned August 2016 during a family vacation. Because of the actions of a volunteer fireman Rory’s organs were donated to save the lives of 5 other people. Rory had an obsession for fire trucks and when local fire departments found out he was given a Fireman’s Funeral.
As a result, his mother, Sherry Sheffield, started Rory the Warrior, Inc. Our mission is to purchase equipment and gear for volunteer Fire Departments that, due to financial restraints, cannot always afford.
“We need to make sure the men and women that put their life on the line for us are fully protected”
Rory’s Ride for Heroes is a Motorcycle & Jeep Rally. The ride starts at Goe Harley-Davidson, 1350 S. Velasco St. Angleton, TX and ends at the event venue located at The Redneck Country Club, 11110 W. Airport Blvd. Stafford, TX. At the venue, there will be live music by Rex Robards, kids’ activities, Live and Silent Auction and Boiled Crawfish (available for presale purchase until June 30th).
