The 2nd Annual Veteran’s Business Battle is on February 27th but the deadline to submit plans ins January 31st. We will be there for this event. Below is some more information:

The application deadline is January 31st. Veterans can go to for information on how to apply. This competition is for any honorably discharged United States veteran that has a business idea that needs to be funded or an established business that needs growth capital. I must emphasize these are investments being made for equity in their companies though, it’s not prize money.

We are still looking for sponsors for this event. Any business or individual that would like to buy a table or step up for a higher sponsorship level would be doing a tremendous amount of good for veteran entrepreneurs. All of us working on this are doing it pro bono and are just looking to cover the event’s expenses. In the event that we raise more than we need, the remaining amount will be donated to Rice University’s Veterans In Business Association (VIBA) in support of scholarships for veterans in Rice’s MBA program.

We are looking for more investors to get involved as well. Any individual that is an accredited investor that would be interested in investing in a veteran led company should reach out to us. Attendance to the event is free and there wouldn’t be any obligation for them to actually make an investment. They are welcome to simply come see the different companies and decide if they would want to invest in one of the companies.
